Met to Organize a Chapter in Greater Kansas City

Local members of The Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity met Thursday evening, January 3 at the Paseo Y.M.C.A. to discuss plans for the establishment of a local chapter of the fraternity here.
At this meeting, a tentative organization was effected with the following officers: Dean J. Ernest Brown of Western Bible College (KCMO) - President. Forest Smith, Executive Secretary of the Y.M.C.A. - Secretary. Wendell Pryor, teacher at the Boys' Home - Treasurer. Raymond M. Williams - Chairman of the Investigation Committee. Dr. A. Marcelle Kennedy - Chairman of the Program Committee.
The following were additional local Sigma Men who were identified by the fraternity: R. P. Young, S. D. Swancy, U. S. Arnold, Lloyd Williams, Wilburn Johnson, Dr. A. C. Prewitt.
The next meeting was held at the Paseo Y.M.C.A. Tuesday, January 8 at 9:30 p.m. All Sigma Men were invited to attend.
Alpha Delta Sigma Chapter established

On Tuesday, October 29th, 1935, The Alpha Delta Sigma Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated was established. That same evening, 3 men were initiated:
- Dr. Charles P. Washington
- Dr. John R. Williams
- Forest S. Smith (also made a charter member).
The following were chapter officers at the establishment of Alpha Delta Sigma Chapter:
