FlairByPierre Travel started simply out of our love for travel. My wife Jacqueline sparked my love for travel on our first trip together to Miami, FL in 2019.
Jacqueline is from Haiti and has traveled to various countries such as: Kenya, Canada, France & Italy. So needless to say, when we were dating, she had an expectation that at some point we would be traveling! From that point on, we always wanted to plan a trip together out of the country.
Fast forward to 2021, we decided for our honeymoon to go to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Since 2021, we have been back to Jamaica twice, Mexico three times, the Bahamas twice and Costa Rica once. Growing up in Kansas City, I didn’t know many people who looked like me who traveled to places outside of the country. Typically, you would hear of people going to the south for a family reunion or to Disney World. There is absolutely nothing wrong with either of those, however, the world is so much bigger than that.

Waylon Wallace is the founder of Black Market Cutz, a thriving barbershop that has been making waves in the industry since its inception in 2014. What started as a side gig while working at the Ford plant soon blossomed into a full-fledged business venture. Feeling that the corporate world was stifling his true calling, Waylon took a leap of faith and turned his passion for cutting hair into a successful business.
Born and raised with limited parental presence, Waylon credits his grandmother, grandfather, and Aunt for instilling in him the values of hard work, determination, and perseverance that have shaped him into the man he is today. Drawing on his personal experiences and upbringing, Waylon has created a brand that embodies the spirit of resilience, ambition, and never backing down in the face of adversity.
After years of cutting hair out of his home, Waylon opened the first storefront for Black Market Cutz in Downtown Blue Springs, where the business has been thriving for the past three years. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Waylon used this setback as an opportunity to fine-tune his appointment system and grow his client base.
Black Market Cutz is more than just a barber shop; it is a symbol of hope, inspiration, and empowerment for the youth in the community. Waylon dreams big and aims to show others that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible. Through his business, Waylon hopes to encourage others to pursue their passions and overcome obstacles to achieve their goals.
